The Florida ACDA Boys’ Honor Choir is an exclusive and auditioned group of middle and high school young men from Florida. It is a great opportunity for our boys! The state conference is typically held on the first weekend of November each year in Florida. Each selected male, along with their families and director, will represent Surfside Middle School in two rehearsals and a concert during the Florida ACDA Convention in Orlando, Florida. Your travel expenses and time will definitely be worth your participation. This is a fantastic opportunity!

CD and MP3 recordings are very helpful, and you will need this year’s music to listen to and practice with. This helps our guys understand the whole concept of each piece!

To prepare you for the recorded audition:
- Read over the information below:
- You’ll need the sheet music (lyrics and the notes)
- You’ll need the piano part to sing along with (mp3)
- On the audition, you’ll have an audio sample to follow – start listening at time marker:_______________.
*Suggestion, listen and practice along with the song, all the way to the end, and then practice the sample (jump in at the place on the time marker). Practice with your director, and they will help you!
*This is optional and a wonderful time for students and their families!
