January is All-State!

Join us as we delve deeper into the world of artistry as educators and performers. Look for updates about the distinguished keynote speakers and performers who will be part of this event.

The FMEA Professional Development Conference is a significant event in the field of music education in the United States. The conference features about 250 clinic sessions and concerts, as well as 22 All-State Ensembles showcasing Florida’s top Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Guitar, and Elementary Orff students. Acclaimed teachers and conductors lead these ensembles. The event attracts around ten thousand attendees, including secondary music directors, elementary music teachers, music supervisors, college students, college music teachers, school administrators, and K-12 students. Participants can enjoy performances by students and professional musicians, visit exhibitors, and more. The conference takes place in early January over Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Tampa Convention Center.  How does a student get started?  With your director!  Here are the beginning steps:

ALL-STATE 2024

FVA’s All-State Choruses are a part of the annual Florida Music Education Association Professional Development Conference.

The All-State Choruses are highly select groups of choral students from Florida’s middle/junior high and senior high schools who are brought together to rehearse and perform selected music with guest conductors.
